MCS 541 Proseminar II: Capstone Proposal Preparation

Highly recommended course during the semester prior to starting a capstone project. Students will review the scientific communication, research design, and prepare and submit an original proposal for the capstone project. Current opinions in the study of chemistry and presentations by guest lecturers will add content to areas of concentration.

Highly recommended while taking MCS 699. Students will prepare and submit the report and poster for the capstone project.

MCS 598 Independent Studies: Literature Review

Advanced study of literature and current research in various branches of chemistry with the goal of learning a new topic or research trend supervised by a faculty member. Students will be evaluated based on the work plan designed with the faculty mentor and director of the program. To obtain a grade, students will submit a report at the end of the semester.
