Urban Education Program 

This online Master’s in Education in Urban Education is designed for educators, policymakers, and social justice advocates who may already be working full-time. This innovative degree marks the first entirely online degree offering at Penn GSE. Drawing from critical and sociocultural perspectives, the M.S.Ed in Urban Education considers how communities, schools, and policy intersect to impact families in high-needs schools.


The degree and major requirements displayed are intended as a guide for students entering in the Fall of 2026 and later. Students should consult with their academic program regarding final certifications and requirements for graduation.
